Hello brothers and sisters! Welcome to my ted talk. Hope you
all are having a great day and week!
Well this week I went on exchanges with Elder Myer in Milwaukee and one experience well two experiences I had is I got Milwaukee shuffled (ill talk about that I'm my Wisconsin culture that I forgot to say last week I am sorry) and we went to this one african American ladies house her name is Selena and she was super sweet and we were giving her a bigger Book of Mormon and Bible so she can read it and we come into the house and she has a bunch of children as I come to later find out its her grandchildren and we walk in the hallway and we see three little kids with their heads against the wall two of them with no shirt and then Selena just comments "They don't know how to listen" so anyways it was really funny and then Selena asks how old I am? And I say 19 and she said oh man I though you were 14 then her 12 year old granddaughter says yea I thought that you were his son (pointing to Elder Myer) so anyways that was my funny experience!
Also I was a moving Elder for a day. Because the moving Elders had their Zone Conference and they check cars which basically means how clean they are and if they are working right and so we got the opportunity to help out because Elder Truscott was a moving Elder. So anyways that was fun I got to learn a couple of things
I just want to say that the Atonement of Jesus Christ is such a blessing to have! I know for a fact that you can never be lower than the light of christ it is literally impossible all you have to do is reach out! Love you all so much!
Wisconsin Culture: so I'm doing two because I forgot last week. So there is something called the Milwaukee shuffle and Elder Myer would have been surprised if it didn't happen to us and right as we were talking about it it happened. So what it is is when someone goes around you using the bike lane they just pass you either while driving or at a stoplight. Also over here I don't know if this is just a wisconsin thing but they don't have ceiling lights they just have outlets connected to switches so you can just turn on or off lamps and it is so weird!
