Hope you all are having a merry Christmas! I can't believe
it will be my second Christmas out here. I never thought I would get
here.
I forgot to mention in my last letter but Elder Ferguson is out of here. Going to miss him but jealous because he is with my trainer Elder Hatch in West Bend right now. My new companion is Elder Thompson and he is a wizard at the piano, harp, Cello and Guitar. Its crazy. It should be and exciting transfer
We had a lesson with our friend Gavin! He is awesome he is 16 and he is in the same dilemma as basically Joseph Smith. He wants to know what is true. We taught him the restoration and he said he's been reading and looking up passages to read online from the Book of Mormon. We've just got to steer him in the right direction.
Kind of funny story. So we were knocking doors of members in Evansville and we get to this place and we are so lost. Its also abandoned kind of funny. Anyways we finally heard footsteps on the ceiling and so we looked for stairs and there was an elevator so we took it up and it felt like we teleported. Pretty crazy. Anyways the apartment number says 19 so we go one way and don't see a 19 then we walk all the way down and it only goes up to 17 and the doors on the sides lead outside. So we knock on a door and there is this lady that screams just give me a moment and she comes out and he is in a wheelchair and doesn't have any legs. She said oh its the Mormons. And I asked her if she was religious after we asked her about room 19 and she said that doesn't exist. And she said she is a born again Christian. (So basically all they have to do is accept Jesus christ into their heart and they are saved) then we asked her if she wanted to hear a Christmas message and she passive aggressively said no. Then went on a wild goose chase and never found the guy.
Love you all the church is true!
Wisconsin Culture: everyone here has snow blowers if you don't have one your crazy because it just snows so much. Also something else crazy is Elder Thompson is from Arizona and has never shoveled snow in his life. He doesn't like the cold :)
-me and Elder Ferguson wrapped up in blankets in our natural element
-Elder Thompsons first time shoveling snow
