"...men are that they might have joy."

 8/7/2023

Random scripture of the day "And how be it my church save it be called in my name? For if a church be called in Moses’ name then it be Moses’ church; or if it be called in the name of a man then it be the church of a man; but if it be called in my name then it is my church, if it so be that they are built upon my gospel." 3 Nephi 27:8

This week was good let's get into all of the spirit led, weird stuff that happened this week

We have a member named Sister Loper and she has been in our ward only for a little bit because she just barely moved. Also has only been a member for a couple of years and she had gone to church 3 times and this was the 3 strikes your out kind of thing where the first 2 times no one talked to her at church and so if the 3rd time no one did then she wasn't going to come back and so Elder Birchler went over and talked to her last Sunday and she then had a bunch of other ward members talk to her after that. So the Lord Answers prayers. He loves all of His children and wants them in His church. It was cool learning this impact on her when we called her this last Friday and she told us

We had a lesson with a guy named Richard and he was cool we met with him one other time really quickly and he invited us back so we go back and he opens the door and he just has a shirt on with no pants, we can only hope that when he sits down he has underwear. Luckily he had underwear but we sat on one couch and he sat on the other and we taught him the whole lesson while he had no pants, was eating a bowl of soup and watching the nature channel (His favorite channel) so that was very awkward haha it went surprisingly well, me and Elder Birchler kept our cool and just acted like everything was normal

Had my Last Zone Conference this week and all they talked about was being a finisher. And I thought that was very weird President Hansen was talking about that as it was my last Zone Conference. We are to endure to the end. The Savior endured to the end and if he hadn't then the whole atonement would of been void and wouldn't of worked. But because our Savior endured to the end we can have the greatest happiness through the atonement of Jesus Christ. I know that the Atonement has cleansed me from my sins and struggles and it is an infinite and eternal sacrifice that any mistake I make or you make is covered through Jesus Christ. He will refine us and use us as we turn our lives over to Him.

Watch out for Deer this week!!!

Wisconsin Culture: There are little icecream carts with bells that are at all the parks and they walk around jingling their bells and we hear them multiple times a day. I respect them trying to earn money that way. That's hard work pushing a cart all day in the hot sun

- Me and Elder Robertson my Trainee when I was in Dodgeville, reunited at Zone conference

- District Council (Yes this is my second sistrict haha)

- little log cabin

- President Hansen (what a man)

-a siloet (probably spelling that wrong) of Elder Birchler
