I'm at the actual MTC!

 8/26/2021

So this week I've been having a really awesome time coming closer to my Savior, Jesus Christ. It was so hard to say goodbye to my family. I know that I'll be able to talk to them but it was still so hard. When I was dropped off at the MTC I got to stand in line and wait to meet the MTC president, President Porter and it was really cool to shake his hand and have him welcome me to the MTC then I went to my bedroom and I'm living with my companion Elder Gordon and Elder Miller and Benson and it's been really cool to see all of my district in person. I'm the shortest one of all of my district (I know shocker right).

Anyways on our first day we had this thing called the character of Christ and it was Elder Bednar talking about what the character of Christ is we need to have the character of Christ and have love and compassion towards others and not do what the natural man does and is selfish, self absorbed and self centered. I love Elder Bednar basically says who cares about you, who cares if you want to have a bunch of baptisms or get the glory of that it's not about you it's about the work and I just thought that that was powerful, If it helps just don't act like the cookie monster and you'll be just fine :)

Then today we were able to go to the temple and as a district and I just love the temple because no matter what kind of a day you are having it just invites the spirit so strongly into your life. so anytime your having a hard day, go to the temple or go on the temple grounds because I promise you as you draw closer to god you will feel of his love and compassion for you individually. Love you all so much remember to email me if you want to ask me any questions or just tell me how your week went.

Some pictures taken in the morning and at the MTC:

We ate at a picnic table in the parking lot where Tanner lives - Raintree Apartments - before heading to the MTC.
