Oh Hey derrr
So this week was very interesting and fast. It felt like Monday was yesterday. Okay don't write us up but we had a 4 hour lesson with one of our friends her name is Patricia and she is awesome! Her Husband is the religion Bahai (look it up) We thought it was going to be just a quick Book of Mormon drop off that turned into a huge discussion. Mostly it was Patricia talking to her husband about how wrong his religion is. It was hard not to laugh. We got into topics on white Jesus and how back then they weaponized that and how he is not white, God and Jesus having bodies of flesh and bones, about the structure of our church, what we believe about the second coming, and so many other things. Also Patricia was agreeing with everything we said, it was great! And they are going to read the Book of Mormon. It was so hard to get out of there we kept saying we had to go.
Funny story last Monday we went bowling and I absolutely sucked never got above a hundred. Then the second round came I was at 70 and had just gotten horrible. Then Elder Temple asked what will you give me if I get 3 strikes this last frame and I said 20 dollars so he bowls and doesn't even get the first strike so I go up and he says okay I will give you 20 dollars too if you get 3 strikes and I was like okay. But in my head I knew I wasn't going to do it. So I get 1 strike and I think that was luck its not going to happen again, I get another strike and my heart is pumping and I get 3 strikes! The whole thing was made out of a movie. It was insane.
Something now spiritual. I was in the last part of the Book of Mormon and able to finish it and read the last 3 verses that say "32 Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God. 33 And again, if ye by the grace of God are perfect in Christ, and deny not his power, then are ye sanctified in Christ by the grace of God, through the shedding of the blood of Christ, which is in the covenant of the Father unto the remission of your sins, that ye become holy, without spot. 34 And now I bid unto all, farewell. I soon go to rest in the paradise of God, until my spirit and body shall again reunite, and I am brought forth triumphant through the air, to meet you before the pleasing bar of the great Jehovah, the Eternal Judge of both quick and dead. Amen."
I invite you all to come unto Christ and be perfected through him. It is not our job to be perfect but Jesus Christ's job. Our job is to keep trying and that is all that God can ask of us. Until we stand "before the pleasing bar of the great Jehovah". In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
