Happy Halloween

10/31/2022

I hope you all are doing well and have a fun Halloween. Go into a sugar coma for me : )

So this week we went to a dinner with a couple families from Ukraine πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦ and they were so cool. We had dinner with them because we have been helping this organization with their moving refugees in and we were invited and we talked to this one couple that had only been in Wisconsin for 5 days. Their English was alright a little hard to communicate. I sadly forgot their names. But she was a cop and he was a taxi driver and they had a cat named Oscar. Haha Then I met this one guy named Daniel and we were about to leave and he shot up from his chair and started to talk with us. And his English was great but he did speak really fast so sometimes it was hard to understand him. Haha. He started talking to us about Messi (the Soccer player) and how its confusing the whole American football and football. He was way cool. The whole thing was just so eye opening.

Also our friend Maria has been to church twice now and is awesome we actually walk to church with her. Oh also I have a miracle to share. So you know how we found her at the pond. (If you don't know what I'm talking about just nod your head yes) Well we were talking to her about the Holy Ghost and we said have you ever experienced the Holy Ghost? And she said Yea I did. I've never sat next to that pond and I just felt like I should then we came along and asked her if she wanted to hear a message. It was such a cool miracle. To quote Jeff in Dodgeville "the lord works in mysterious ways"

Also went on an Exchange with Elder Bowers again for the second time in a row and went to Janesville and had zero time in the 24 hours to find anyone because we were driving from lesson to lesson and met some fun people. Met a guy who showed us Karate. I guess the missionaries come over every Saturday to teach them a lesson and to learn Karate. (I also got the bow right on the first try haha) so if you ever try to kick me in the ribs I'll know what to do. Met a guy that went blind because of his crazy ex-wife. Anyways it was a great time..

Love you all I know this is a simple testimony but I know the church is true.

Wisconsin Culture: we went over to a members house and they did something crazy they put cheese on apple pie. She had a picture up on her wall that said "apple pie without cheese is like a kiss without the squeeze" I know cheesy right. (She's also from Minnesota so that might explain it)
