The longest day

11/7/2022

Hello Brothers and sisters : )

Hope you all have had a blessed week

So we last preparation day it was Halloween and we went Trick or treating. I didn't have the guts to knock on peoples houses. But I guess I had the guts to talk to people. And we got some candy that was cool. Also a coke (breakfast for champions : )) (look at the Wisconsin culture as well)

So we are having Elder Wong from the 70 he is going to tour our mission. And we did a zoom link with him and he was just having people asking questions. And he was telling us to teach the people not lessons and said when you enter someone's house to ask for water then take a couple drinks of this and say "you know what this water reminds me of? When I got baptized and swallowed two gulps of water." Anyways just putting everything back to the doctrine of Christ. Then at the end of the zoom link he asked President Hansen to bring when he comes here to Wisconsin, 12 ping pong balls, 2 24 inch sticks, string, 2 Spikeball games, a basketball and a see through cup. It was so funny him saying this so if anyone has any ideas what he's doing I would like to know. Anyways when missionaries would ask questions he would ask about their family and just know them. It was way cool.

I recently read about the 2000 strippling warriors and how they had so much faith it says in Alma 56:47 "Now they never had fought, yet they did not fear death;..." these warriors, the warriors that none of them had perished because of their great faith. They had never fought! I mean could you imagine being over these new recruits and be like alright were going to fight without any experience. Like good luck if any of you make it alive. Then helaman says "... I numbered those young men who had fought with me, fearing lest there were many of them slain.

56 But behold, to my great joy, there had not one soul of them fallen to the earth; yea, and they had fought as if with the strength of God;..."

I know God lives and he does care for us. God bless have a great week.

Wisconsin Culture: during Halloween everyone had fire pits on their driveways so you knew exactly the people to hit up. Like the whole street people would have fire puts lining the streets. It wasn't too cold that day but I guess its to keep warm : )
