We are part of the greatest work on earth. According to
President Nelson the Gathering of Isreal is the greatest work on earth. On my
mission I get to give back to Jesus Christ. I will always be indebted to him
for the many blessings he has given me. It reminds me of the quote by the
Prophet Joseph Smith "Brethren [and sisters], shall we not go on in so
great a cause? Go forward and not backward. Courage, brethren [and sisters];
and on, on to the victory!" D&C 128:22, 24
I might have been sick with Covid this whole week but the work still moves forward. And I know that I am greatful for the Healing Power of the Atonement. I know our Savior Lives. It kind of Sucked this week not having my mom to take care of me or anyone when I was in the thick of it and in the trenches :). But it reminded me of the Promise given to Joseph Smith. "7 My son, peace be unto thy soul; thine adversity and thine afflictions shall be but a small moment;
8 And then, if thou endure it well, God shall exalt thee on
high; thou shalt triumph over all thy foes." D&C 121:7-8
I Hope you all have a blessed week and remember the true meaning of Christmas. Because of Jesus Christ we can all be healed through his redeeming power and love. Go and Light the World for me!
Wisconsin Culture: the people down here have thick skin while I have long johns, a sweater or two, a beanie, earmuffs, gloves, hand warmers and a big coat. They're wearing a jacket and maybe some gloves and I'm still cold!
