Elder Parker Beck: Zero

Yellow everyone!

So this week was awesome we were able to see Elder Wong come and visit our mission and do a mission tour. He is one of the area authorities over Wisconsin. And he is awesome (chop-chop) he talked about Kung Fu Panda (Panda Po) and Karate Kid (wax on Wax off) some people played basketball and later some people played spikeball and he related it all to the gospel he says he doesn't do anything without relating it to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And he pounded us with member work and he wants missionary work to be enjoyable and easy for members to do so they do it again and it doesn't become a burden. Which I want to do but I am still figuring it out. If anyone has any ideas?

One of the major things that stood out to me is he said that the prophet only was bold on 3 things abuse, the Gathering of isreal, and the name of the church. He says "The name of the church is non negotiable" then he went into his own thinking and said "I believe President Russell M Nelson is preparing the earth for when Jesus Christ comes. Because when he comes his church should be called after His name. Not the name of the Prophet Mormon." That is insane that just blew my mind and made so much sense. It was amazing to feel the very strong spirit of Elder Wong when he talked about his love for us. He didn't even know us! And I could feel it. Also he called us to repentence: ) I know that President Nelson is called of God. He is such an amazing man. He is our Prophet. And I am so Grateful and blessed we have a prophet on the earth today to help us see behind corners : )

One last thing is that a cool miracle happened this week. We didn't have much success with people this week and we visited a member yesterday the Schultz family and we have been trying to get in with them for a while. They are a part member family. And Anyways while the parents were asleep at 7pm to wake up early the kids and the grandma were up and we shared the restoration with them and most of the kids didn't even know about Jesus Christ at all and what he did or know about Joseph Smith so it was cool to share those things with them. And We figured out that one of the girls is 9 years old and isn't baptized:) and so we are going over this coming week and it was just so awesome to have that. They were happy we went over and so were we.

Also sorry one funny story before I leave we visited a members house and they had 2 dogs that this member warned us at their house that they won't calm down for the next 2 hours and so for the time we were there, which was too long, I was attacked by these dogs. Licking my face, my mouth, crawling behind and infront of me. Both attacking me at the same time with their tongues and the members did nothing about it. Even at one time one of the dogs didn't care. They crawled on top of me and sit down. And me shoving them did nothing it was an absolute joke haha and I was covered in dog hair. But again like all experiences they may be annoying and a little sucky but you can just strug it off and laugh later

Wisconsin Culture: Okay this is a fun one for all of you from Oregon. So there is a city here in Wisconsin Called Oregon and it is not pronounced the same way I will try to sound it out. its pronounced (Ore-i-gone) (the "i" is how you would pronounced Italy) anyways and I had Elder Aagard (one of my trainers) from Oregon and everyone pronounced it like that. It was great
