"Pit stop"

 3/20/2023

Brothers and Sisters Good Morning!

So this week started out with an eventful exchange I went with Elder Hawker in Janesville and he's awesome. And we had a church tour with one of their friends and he was so excited to get baptized and come to church after the church tour. He is prepared it was awesome to see that.

Later that day we had dinner with the Janesville Spanish Elders at one of their members and we had some great food! And there was a brother there Hermano Merino and he could speak perfect English just chose not too so he would say something in Spanish and I would respond in English and he kept on calling me nino (boy) and the he says some Spanish and I hear "Stewart little" and for those of you who don't know who Stewart little is he is a mouse in a movie called Stewart little so they called me a mouse. Then he gets his phone and shows a video of chicken little yelling in Spanish "The sky is falling the sky is falling" and points to me. Then Elder Nielson grabs his phone and then looks up "Peabody and Sherman" so anyways I was harassed but it was all in good fun. Then I talked about my brother going to Peru and he wondered if he had good Spanish so I said yea then he goes to his phone and types 801 and expects me to put in my brothers number I then told him I didn't know it and so he said then what is your mom's number so he called my mom and my mom was obviously confused and he got a hold of Tanner and they started to speak Spanish to eachother. Very weird and I was dying laughing. But after all of that he asks for everyones favorite scripture and the spirit was very strong even when I didn't understand a word he said in Spanish. The Gospel is true.

Got to go to Platteville this week and see two people I taught in Dodgeville get baptized, (because that is where the font is at) Emily and Maria and it was a blessing to see them be baptized and also get to see all the other branch members from Dodgeville. They were confused when they saw me haha it was great! The spirit kind of hit me when they were baptized that it is all worth it what we do here.

Wisconsin Culture: it might be shocking but no one walks outside when its cold they all use cars. Its kind of hard to street contact when there is no one on the street haha but luckily you get that occasionally dog walker
