Elder Parker Beck: That was a knee slapper!

I thought I would start this with a joke why did the leapers have to stop their hockey game? Because there was a face off on the ice.

Okay sorry for the bad joke this week was great

I was sick this week as well but "...no unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing;" (Joseph Smith) We had Gay's baptism and it was towards the end of the week so I was feeling better and it was a great experience to see her be baptized and all you really need is a desire. That is all I had when I was 8 years old. Anyways there was a special spirit there when someone is being baptized and it makes you want to have it more.

We have our friend Rachel who gave up smoking 3 days ago and she said that cigarettes didn't taste good anymore she didn't even finish one when she smoked anymore. I want to testify that the gospel can change lives and through God he can even change someone's taste. I thought that was so awesome!

We had a lesson with Gay before her baptism and her CNA was there who comes every week to help gay out with things. And the CNA, Emmanuel he wanted two Bibles and we were like oh sorry we don't have a Bible in our car and he was talking about Jesus Christ and how he is everything to him. And how no one who seems happy and doesn't have Jesus Christ isnt really happy. So we go to our car and we have 2 Bibles and 1 book of Mormon so we run back inside with the 2 Bibles and felt like we should bring the Book of Mormon and we shared with him Helaman 5:12 and he loved it and said he would start to read it. It was so awesome! We thought we had no Bibles and we had 2 the amount he wanted. It was a miracle. And he lives in another area but we are going to have the missionaries over there teach him.

4 Nephi 1:15 "And it came to pass that there was no contention in the land, because of the love of God which did dwell in the hearts of the people." May we all Follow God and Jesus Christ and be more happy. Because we can only find true, lasting, real happiness through him.
