Alright Yoopers!
So this week was very interesting. Very long haha.
Went on an exchange with Elder Lake and we had some fun. Had dinner in a red area where you aren't allowed there so that was fun. Across the street they had pictures on two trees wrapped in seran wrap to hold the pictures and Elder Lake said "do you know what those are? and I said "no" and he said "two people were shot there" so um if I die out here I just want to tell my family I love them : ) haha oh boy
We taught The Francos again and their family is so awesome and chaotic. The youngest one Callie was drinking water with a bunch of red onions in the water for allergies or something and was enjoying it haha. And its cute because the kids are always giving us hugs and Raj always asks why I smile so much and I say because smiling makes me and others more happy
We had Travis' baptism and he's sweet! We had his Baptism and first off it was so hard to get him a ride we were calling members for an hour and a half before the first person we called got back with us and said he could do it. But it was a great Baptism. The spirit was strong! Then we are asked in-between the Baptism when their changing to share the restoration and it started to rain and thunder and get loud while we were speaking then we got to Joseph Smith and it was really loud outside and we get like 3 seconds into the restoration and the rain completely stops. It was absolutely crazy. There is power in reciting the first vision. It is true. I honestly can't explain the spirit. I have words to describe it. definitely amazing.
Were also teaching a lady without any vocal cords named Portia and its cool because she used to be scared of death and the unknown now she is not because she knows about the plan of salvation. Its so cool. She would be baptized but she is bed ridden and has a trake in her throat. She's awesome!
Then on Saturday we called Travis and his phone went out of service so we called it a bunch of times and then decided to go over to his house and to get to his room we had to go through a door thst was locked so we knocked and the people wouldn't let us in and we weren't able to knock on his door so we chucked pebbles at his window and nothing. I and it was getting dark and it wasn't a good part of town so we left and then on Sunday Morning came back and threw a rock at his window and he opened it up and said he had an emergency so he can't go to church and get confirmed. So that sucks but he said next week so were hoping and praying.
Watch out for deer!
Wisconsin Culture: the Upper Peninsula of Michigan or UP is apart of our mission and it doesn't even say its apart of Michigan it says its the Upper Peninsula they basically believe they are their own state or territory haha
